APPLYING PEIRCE - CALL FOR REGISTRATION

 

The Helsinki Peirce Research Centre arranges an international conference
"Applying Peirce" in Helsinki, 11-13 June 2007. The conference brings
together scholars and researchers in diverse fields to explore and discuss
the rapidly growing interest in Charles Sanders Peirce's thought and its
applications.

The Keynote speaker of the conference is Professor Nathan Houser (Director
of the Institute for American Thought and the Peirce Edition Project,
IUPUI). Invited speakers include Vincent Colapietro, André De Tienne, Risto
Hilpinen, Christopher Hookway, Ivo Assad Ibri, Jørgen Dines Johansen, J.J.
Lizska, Lorenzo Magnani, Ilkka Niiniluoto, Jaime Nubiola, Joe Ransdell, T.L.
Short and John Sowa.

All participants of Applying Peirce are asked to register online by 2 June,
2007. The registration fee of the conference is 100 euros; holders of valid
Finnish student card are exempt of the fee.
